Hi All You Trikers, i'm Pappy and brand new to Trikes & Triker Talk! My last bike was a 2008 Honda VTX 1300 T which i dearly loved!!! Since i have no way to stop the ageing process with Aurther invading my body i needed to make a decision......Go to three wheels or drop out of the biker world!!! That was an easy decision as i'm sure you all know!
Took my beloved 1300 T to the Honda Shop and found a nice 2007 Honda 1800 F Champion Trike with low miles on it! (9500 ) She's good looking and has plenty of get up & go!!! On the way home (100 mi.) it was a new exp.for sure! Been on two wheels since 1974 so you can imagine,lol. Every stop wanted to lower my feet to the ground and put down a kickstand....lmao! Navigation was quite different too
By the time i made it home i was kinda use to it. Some nice twisties in Ar. will break you in fast! Now three weeks and 600 mi. under my belt i feel quite at home on "The Phantom"! My Better Half likes it as well and she'll be a future rider come spring! Needed to buy a new house for her(the trike :-0 ) since it's a bit wider then my beloved 1300 T was! That was delivered last week so the cover i got is back in the box now. That was a hassle!!! Will put it on for long in between riding sessions which i try not let happen.
We are members of B.A.C.A. so we ride year round except cage it when the weathers too bad or it's below 40 deg. My old bones can"t take the cold like they used to! Anyway i just wanted to say Hi and i'm sure i'll love this site!!!!! Ride Hard / Ride Safe.......Pappy & Pebbles
