Ground

Good morning

Does anyone know where the instrument dash ground is located

Thank You

Dragon

Good question! As all the wiring is thru the harness plugged in the back of it you probably need to get this answer from Richard at TMS. 888-783-3348 tomg

I do not think TBMS is going to give you a diagram. I would just go to the connector and trouble shoot from there. Might be best if necessary to wire your own new ground.

I asked Richard about grounds and he said that there was only 1 main ground by fuse block left side

I don't have a Ford wiring diagrams book anymore to look at or reference (the older Stallions used the Ford Ranger wiring harness/etc). But I do believe that the cluster doesn't have it's own ground & shares a ground with a bunch of other electronics on the vehicle; pretty sure it's the same ground that the smart junction box has because the cluster gets its feed from the sjb.

Pretty sure the cluster only has 1 ground wire going to it, easiest thing to do would be probe the wire & check continuity to ground. It'd tell you if your cluster is getting a proper ground or not.
