Grove, Ok
I got my bike at a deal I couldn't pass up with only 470 miles on it. It's a '04 Shadow Aero and bought it in Feb. '08. I was planning to ride 2 wheels so during the winter we added the crash bar. Good thing because come Spring I tried twice riding it around the yard and laid it over twice. Never got hurt. My old hips and not much strength just kept me from holding it up. We then decided to get the Voyager kit and haven't regretted it since. It has enough power to keep up with the others I ride with and handles curves great without having to slow down much. I have added a windshield and a few other things since this photo was taken.
My husband and I belong to a local group of bikers called "The Posse", 70+ members strong and get in a lot of riding. We do day rides and sometimes do overnite weekend rides. We also put on benefits for people in need and put on our group yearly rally. A great bunch to belong to! Today the group is delivering Thanksgiving food baskets to 10 needy families within our county. By the time we take off it will be in the 60's. Great riding (dressed for it, that is)!
I'm retired and my husband wishes he was!
I just tried adding my trike photo to this thru photobucket but says too many characters. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Hi Shadowokie, and a big welcome to TrikeTalk. We have a great family on here, and it sounds like you are going to be a great addition.

As for photos, be sure to re-size the photo down to medium size before you try to post it on here.
  • After resizing, click on "Post Reply" here on this thread and type any note you wish to add.
  • Under your picture on photobucket, click on "DIRECT LINK" and copy the URL that highlights.
  • Then come to your open post and click on the square box in it's toolbar (looks like a postage stamp with mountains against a yellow sky), and paste the picture's URL into the box that opens. That will load the picture onto your post.
  • Post reply, and you are done.

Welcome fom SW MO!

I am in Anderson, MO, about 22 miles from Grove. We were just over in Grove this past week. Went over Grand Lake 3 diffrent times- came down 10 from Senaca, over Grand Lake first time at Cayuga, then into
Grove and accross on 59 for the second time over the lake, then we went
up to Miami and over on 60 to Twin Bridges State Park for the 3rd crossing.
(For those from places where there are natural lakes, there aren't many here at all. Instead of lakes being roughly circular or oval, our lakes are made by damming up a river and the valleys fill in. Most lakes around here look like your hand with the fingers spread out.)

Stopped in Afton at Nutting Custom Trikes to BS with Rick a bit and check out the trikes in stock. Really do like that Orange on the Stallion. (The silver- not so much.)

Anywho--- welcome to Trike Talk neighbor!
