Hello, everyone! I'm new here, and just wanted to introduce myself. I don't currently own a trike, but I believe one will be in my future. I've been riding for over 25 years, and really love it, but my wife and I have had some health problems in the past that may result in needing to transfer our love of riding to trikes. I've actually always liked trikes, and have always wanted to try one, so I don't think it'll feel like I'm having to "slow down," so to speak. I was referred here from the XL Forum, as I've been looking at getting a Sportster for many years... I've seen a few really sweet trike conversions over there, but I thought it would be best to learn from the experts!

I look forward to reading through the FAQ's, and hope you'll be patient with the inevitable dumb questions!

Ask whatever you want. There aren't any dumb questions, especially when it comes to a trike build.

Welcome from San Antonio, Texas. I think you should visit your local HD dealership and test ride a Freewheeler.

Thanks, I sat on one when they first came out during my visit to the H-D museum, and really liked it. It's well outside my price range for the time being, but I like the suggestion, as it would be a good opportunity to see what riding a trike is like. I've ridden the Can-Am Spyders before, and while they were pretty fun rides, not really what I'm looking for. My wife and I prefer more of a vintage appearance.
