green trike?

Saw a homemade prototype built by an individual and not a company. Design was basic and crude, but the important thing is that it worked.

Homemade frame and front forks
18" ? motorcycle tire on front
Two 15" motorcycle tires on rear
Motorcycle handlebars
Stout tray behind seat that carried maybe 8 car batteries connected in series
Two Etek electric motors mounted one each above each rear tire
Chain drive ? running from each Etek motor to each rear wheel sprocket that ran simultaneously
There was a lever positioned in front of the rider. Lever all the way back was "Off", any position forward from that was "Run", starting with "Slow" to "Fast" as it was pushed forward (rheostat design ?)
When not in use, he had solar panels at home to hook up to batteries for re-charge
Range: Approx. 50 miles, Top Speed: Approx. 55 MPH

Going from memory here, but pretty sure that was the basic lay out. Don't remember any brakes.......might have been lever-controlled, either in motion with rear wheels turning or at a complete stop with lever in "Off" position ?

He was thinking about adapting some sort of generator on it so's it could re-charge the batteries while parked away from home to give him more range.
