A friend is looking at a 2011 Tri Glide and she asked me to go with her,it has 7000 miles and been a 2 owner. So when i test rode it for her the red key light was on as i pulled out of the driveway but went out before i reached the road then it stayed off on the ride, but as i slowed to pull in the drive it came back on.I had the key fob in my pocket and i asked the owner when was the last time the batteries in the fob had been changed, just recently he said and the bike battery last year.

The only trikes i have owned are a 16 then my 17 and they don't do this neither does my buddies 13 that i currently have in my garage. So those of you who may know please advise as i dont want her to buy something that could cost her a bunch of money right off the start. Thanks.

You might half to reset , by turning the ign switch on and off a few times (I think 5 ) it’s in the book. Also check fob battery voltage. Don’t take anything for granted

The only time the key light went on with my 11 Tri-Glide was when i was in heavy traffic on a very hot day and idling for long periods ....And the trike went into parade /limp mode...........If you take the pod out of range will the trike start...?

Should do the job. OR a new battery in the fob.
