Right at 40K on my 2016 Tri-Glide the fault light and temp indicator both came on. I made it home with no issues where I let it cool down overnight. Took it out the next day with the Dyna Jet module hooked up. Both fault lights came on at 235 degrees and the temp kept going up. Ordered the M8 upgraded water pump from Surdyke and had a local independent shop install the thing. Rode it home in 104 degree heat and the temp never got above 215. Happy camper!

Water pump took a shit in my 19 tri-glide in Sturgis last year. Rode it back to North Carolina without a problem. The water cooled heads are for Rider and passenger comfort not engine performance. To be honest I couldn't tell any difference when the water pump was working and when it wasn't, as it never ran any hotter.

The only way I knew the water pump took a shit was i't puked water all over the ground and emptied the reservoir. No lights no codes.
