Hi,
I have a 2007 GL1800 with a champion solid axle kit and am having trouble finding a place to order replacement brake pads. Can some give me some help finding a part number and reliable site to order from? I'd also like to know if there is a owners / service manual for this trike conversion that would explain things that should be serviced and at what intervals?

Thanks in advance. Dave

A lot of Champion folks are using these : EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads #DP-4105R same as I use on my Roadsmith that uses VW Calipers.. #311 - 615 - 107 & 108 Caliper Numbers....

Follow the instructions on the pads to brake them in correctly / fully bleed your brakes and skuff up your disc's Enjoy......the much better braking preformance after breakin :clapping:

I second Jerry. For almost 40K miles, basically my trike had no rear brakes. I literally could be standing up and stand down on the rear brakes with all my weight (and that is a couple extra pounds), and the wheels would not lock up. This is the extreme test, but you should be able to put on your rear brakes in a "normal" and you should feel good stopping. For 40K, it was like they were not there.

Then I switched to the EBC DP-4105R, and I had real brakes. If for some rare reason I needed to smoke the brakes (like day dreaming coming upon a red signal) the brakes will smoke. It is very rare for me to do this, but now when I put down on the rear brake, I know I am getting bite into the road. As big as the tires are on a trike, the rear brakes should be a major stopping force, not just rely on the front brakes.

Do a Google search, and you will find 4 or 5 places that sell these pads. Different ones have different bargains, generally on shipping. Don't let anyone tell you their pads are like the EBC yellow stuff, because it just ain't true!
