I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find instructions on how to remove the helmet box on my GL1500 Aspencade. (I guess that's what it's called. It's the storage box behind the passenger seat) I need to have the trike body repainted after a recent hit and run. If you could direct me to a sight with pictures, that would be great.
Thanks

Here is a link to Roadsmith's HT1500 installation instructions. If it tells how to install, the reverse should be taking it off.
*Note* We don't have a Roadsmith, and I haven't read these, just though it may be helpful to pass them along.

If I recall correctly, you need to remove some small screws on the back/bottom and pop off a U shaped cover that goes around the entire outside. I think you can then get at the bolts that hold the tour pack to the rails. There is also a wiring pigtail underneath that must be disconnected. I removed my trunk after we bought a 1500 trike and built some adapters to set the trunk back about 3 inches. There may also be some bolts on the bottom of the box itself you get to from the inside.
