GL1500 Fairing rattle

Hey everyone! I was hoping that someone with a little more experience could help me out. I have never owned a trike, Goldwing, or any other motorcycle. My GL1500 fairing, dash, and/or front end rattle, and squeak when hitting unavoidable bumps in the road. Is this just the way these bikes are? Nothing seems loose when inspecting everything. Also, you hear plastic creeking up front when turning the handlebars from one side to the other when sitting still. I am the type of person that any little rattle in my truck drives me insane, :xzqxz: and I cant rest until I find and correct the problem. Maybe I'll just have to get use to it. Thanks in advance!

Hey Fuzzy! You may have really helped me out on this one. My wing does have that gasket, but it seems to be pulled up, and slightly out of place on the left corner. I'm going to start by pulling it apart, and getting this gasket back into its proper position.

Also check the front fender for loose or missing bolts. Just recently my GL1800 came up with an obvious rattle - discovered 2 missing bolts on that front fender - same side. Had a new front tire put on not long ago and apparently they didn't tighten the bolts down good on that side. Had to order new OEM bolts. Problem solved with rattle. Hope your problem is that simple.
