Riding the twisties has always caused my hip to hurt due to the brake pedal height being at the stock peg height about 4" above the floorboards.I also wanted more leverage for better braking also being the make it your own bike guy that I am I began looking the situation over to see what could be done somewhat easily given my limited equipment.I originally had the idea of using a linkage to connect to the shaft the original pedal had been on.That would keep me from having to do anything with brake switches and such but I really didn't like way the linkage would need to route so after some figuring I decided I was overcomplicating the job.Faced with limited time to experiment I kept it simple as I could.I moved everything from the original position to a bracket I made from angle iron and a heavy sleeve. In keeping with using what was there I relocated the brakelight switch.Although a banjo switch and a different master cyl. would have been neater.Time and money didn't allow it and unless your looking you don't notice so anyway. The result is exactly what I was after. An almost cruiserlike position for the pedal and plenty of brake.

Although it looks like it it is not below the bottom of the oil pan.I feel a valkyrie master and some creative switch relocation would make it much neater.

I either have my foot right beside or behind the pedal so normally i'm just as close as usual. Before the mod if you were riding in stop and go,lots of redlights, or twisties where you would have your foot on that peg then then you would be closer but thats a tuff position on the hips. Also is farther away during the retraining process when you go to the original position and realize some ass moved the pedal.
