Is there a trike kit out there that will convert a 1980 GL1100?

My neice is looking for something that would work. The 1000 is a bit hard for her to hold up.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing available for 1000/1100/1200's any more. But I used a GL1500 1996-8 MotorTrike body and installed it on my 1985 GL1200 Aspencade. No it was not a bolt-on as I had to narrow a Ford truck rear and make all sub-frame components. But it is different!ThumbUp

I would suggest buying a used GL1500 trike (1988-1990 models) as they are priced fairly. However, IF you (or she) has skills...maybe buy a used GL1500 2 wheeler and buy a used body from installer (like I did) and install it yourself. Newer bike and just as cost effective. Have just done this recently with a friend of mine. Mmm, great father/daughter project.

Think it over.;)

Nothing? Did you follow the Triwing link? They offer a trike kit according to their website.

Problem is you will have a $600 bike with a $8,000 trike kit. In your case a tow pack / Voyager add on types kit would be most practical. There are plenty of cheap trikes out there. I must say I have seen a few 1100 as trikes back in the day and they are very pretty.
this is one that would almost be as cheap as kiting your 1100. You ca sell youse and buy this.

if u do decide the build route. Go here. Yes they state you can still get a kit for you bike for under $6,000. Love to see the finished project. God luck post often. Take pictures .
