This is a copy of a post I made on another forum about a week ago...not on a Trike, but still the same. Although I do feel a bit more rambunctious on the Tri-Glide than the Heritage.
Yesterday my biz partner and I rode about 100 miles...to a new shop in our area and back.
Me on my Heritage, him on his Stage IV Street Glide Special. I'm 57 and he's 29.
I was quite content at 60-65 on the back roads, and 75-85 on the interstate.
More than a couple of times I was doing 80 and he passed me like I was standing still...once on the back roads I lost sight of him, and when I did see him, 10 minutes later, he was on the side of the road, stopped, fiddling (probably texting) with his phone. lol
I thinks it's age a bit, PLUS, I just really enjoy cruising on the Softail. Whatever the reason, I have less of an urge to tear up the road than I used to...and I'm ok with it.
