After years of riding I discovered the joys of heated gloves and jacket from Gerbing. I have the dual controller and it works fine but I am considering the permanent mount dual controller on my 09 Motortrike IRS Wing. It's a little pricey but I believe a lot cleaner with less wires exposed. I would appreciate anyone's input that is using this setup as to where you mounted the in-dash controller, how you routed any exposed wires etc. and are you pleased with the set up. Thanks in advance

Alan: I installed 2, one for me & one for wifey. Drilled 2 holes a piece & placed the controller & the LEDs one on either side of the key hole. Ran the wiring back from there under the seat to the battery. The unit comes with an in-linefuse. The most exasperating part was securing the switch / cable connector, which is a long, 2-3" arrangement, securely under the key-hole cowl area. Initially I might have been a bit heavy handed:( & so damaged my side LED. Got smarter whilst installing Wifeys side. Now wifey uses it even on mild days! Definitely a worthwhile investment.

I now use the Warm n Safe remote. Receiver in pocket of liner and sending unit is velcroed where I want it. I just pick it up and move it bike to bike. Cuts down on the extra wires.

I doubt that this will help you but this is what I made for myself for the console on my Road King..Then it can be removed easily..
