raises the rear of the trike about 1 1/2". keeps from draging the pipes..

You won't even notice the inch and a quarter, But you will notice the improved handling and easier steering...ThumbUp
yes it raises the back end up ..so that would change the height of you getting on the bike..more back end than the front end..can be tweeked with the shock pressure
I second that about the lift kit. Everything Dennis makes is top notch & road tested.
Step up on the floor boards, then mount the seat. That way a person doesn't have to play Tarzan ! I have "bagger bar" just inside the windshield & dash . Made for mounting accessories to. Very few things mounted, but it makes a great bar for mounting the Trike!
I don't know if everything Dennis makes will work on a Harley or not ..... They aren't made in China like all of Harley's parts are........

The lift kit is installed at the lower rear shock mount. It lifts the body up with respect to the lower suspension in the rear. The whole body rotates up on the front axle. The difference in the seat height from ground level will probably be about 50% of the lift or 3/4 of an inch. Better clearance in the rear. The trike looks a lot more level. handling is slightly changed from the weight distribution change. Riders all state for the better.
Do you get on the trike from the ground? Don't know anyone that does it that way.
I usually step on the floorboard first then swing my leg over - bad hip and all - no problem. ThumbUpSeat height will stay the same that way.
I get on mine from the ground. Blessed with long legs (a curse sometimes). I don't have a problem with the lift kit. I like the extra clearance and handling in provides.
Installed the tGlide lift kit and Clutch Wiz yesterday and rode over 100 miles today on back roads. One word says it all. (amazing). It was like installing powersteering and the shifting is greatly improved. I can find neutral on the second or third try now instead of almost never. Good buy.

I get on mine from the ground and have had both my knees replaced.
I must be getting old (69) I can't get on the TG from the ground.
There's only 3 TG's in our chapter and they all get on from the floorboard. :Shrug:

Ya know,,, In my latest years I have started to wonder exactly I even wanted to do handstands or backflips when I was a kid.... Now I use the boards !
I used to kick the krap out of the kick start on an old Indian Chief, then I got modern & bought a BSA 441 Victor that if ya didn't get the compression release timed right with the kick start ya could end up on the ground in front of your own front tire! Or as the brits call it tyre...
Thank God for starters, soft seats & running boards!!

Call me old and soft, just where I am at in this world.
It might be because I adjusted the clutch when I installed the Clutch-Wiz. No other reason I could think of other than the lift kit I installed at the same time changed the angle of the transmision in relation to the ground allowing the Toe of my boot to contact the linkage at a slightly different location.
In other words, I haven't a clue. Good question.

I too am 69 and running at 70 real hard. I buy pants with a 29" inseam and cut off 3" and another 1/2" for hem. On the Fatboy which is really low, I get a foot on the seat and then slide on over. On the TG I started by laying across the seat and making a lot of strange moves until I could see the handlebars and knew I was pointing in the right direction. Now I put my outside foot on the passenger floorboard and swing the other foot over to the other passenger floorboard and slide forward hoping the backrest stayed where it belongs. Easy to say but you don't want to watch.

I have both the lift kit and Clutch Wiz on my 2010.., I wish I'd known about both before I drove my trike off the showroom floor.., I would have done both before I put a single mile on the trike. What an amazing difference both have made to my ride. I am only 5'4" and the lift did not make any discernible difference in the mounting of the trike. Please keep designing product improvements for us!
Probably better off that you didn't put the lift kit on first, This way you can compare the benefits of the kit versus stock'.

Harleygirl, the dealer may not have installed the lift kit. My dealer wouldn't touch it so I had to do it myself. It was quite a chore since I don't have a decent lift. Rube Goldberg would have been amazed at how I did it.

I only was able to put on few hundred miles after installing the lift kit on my Tri-Glide, before winter set in. In all my years of Harleys and Accessories; it is by far the best option I have ever bought.ThumbUp
