Gas selling for $2.81 gal

Dennis, is OKC Oklahoma City??

Yup, Oklahoma City. 'Twas on MacArthur just south of I-40, at a 7-11.

Coming home the next morning, paid 1.91 at the QT truck stop on I-45 just south of Dallas.

Was in Abilene this early morning, wasn't really looking, but the Chevron I stopped at was 1.99, on Hy84 just south.

Home for a few days.... I hope.

Just goes to show thery are making profit at $1.98 a gallon so we really know that at $4,00 plus per gallion they wer really Screwing the American public and the news media were helping spread the B.S. lies of supply, maintence, etc. etc.

$2.109 at the Pump yesterday here.
Year ago it took an average of @ $88 to fill both Vehicles every Friday,
Only $50 yesterday :clapping:

Gotta love the Saudis for hating competition (especially American), bucking OPEC, flooding the Market, screwing the Commodities Speculators, and generally giving an Enema to the Crude Bidnez.
Proportionately , Price at the Pump is about right.
When Crude was trading for $126 a Barrel-Pump was around $4.25/gal
Now Crude at around $63 a Barrel-Pump at $2.10.
Damn near dead on.
Shows Margins are same percentages but less amounts due to Benchmark being lower.
Does prove that they were raking in the dough at higher amounts though as several Factors in the "Barrel to Pump" Cost Equation remain static regardless of Benchmark.

Oh well, thankful none the less and enjoy it while it holds.

$2.63 at Speedway in Cleveland, (Georgetown) TN (Eastern TN) and with my .03 cent per gallon discount that is $2.60 per gallon... I can remember .25 cents per gallon when I was a teenager - I'd like to see it go that low again!! :pepper:

$1.95.9 here now. not for long though I think higher prices are on their way.

Since I drive all over the states to different oil field areas from S. Texas to North Dakota, I keep fuel receipts from way back. (IRS, ya know) A blast from the past....

It's all relative,
When gas was 24c a gallon I was making 40/50 dollars a week, and driving my old mans 59 Merc with a 430 Lincoln engine.. 13 mpg highway on a good day...
Those were the B. R. days and you could fly fast and low...

Just got back from a trip out to Nampa, ID and back. Was $2.37 in Nampa when I filled up on Monday morning. Filled in Pocatello, ID (Chubbuck) at a Exxon there and paid $2.07:). Saw $3.69 and $3.39 in the Island Park, ID area near Yellowstone. Thru Montana saw mostly $2.19 to $2.39. Was $2.79 in Beach, ND which is right on the ND/MT border. Paid $2.39 in Dickinson, ND which is right near the Bakken oil area but a lot of things are higher priced in that area due to the oil boom. We did notice that about half of the oil pumps visible from interstate were not pumping but did see two new drilling platforms going up outside of Dickinson.
