Gas selling for $2.81 gal

We had a Walmart Neighborhood Market open up today in our little town. Parking lot was a zoo - in a town like Anderson, half way between Joplin & Bentonville and on the exit that leads to the Middle of Nowhere, an event like this is a Big Deal. Gas last night was $1.89 in town, at the Neighborhood Market today it is $1.79, and another 3¢ off with a gift/shopping card or 5¢ off with the Walmart credit card.

Still above $2.00 in Dover area! Not much over $2, but not into the $1.90s! Maybe this week, since oil is still dropping.

$1.899 this morning here....
Still "gouging" us here though as adjoining States with higher State and Local Tax/gallon are lower priced.

Oh well,,, still beats the $3.25 we were paying just 4-5 months ago.

Left Atlanta this morning it was $1.99, went thru Dothan Ala. it was $1.90 and then in Panama City Fla it was $2.02

I remember back in ''73'' when gas was about 35 cents a Gal, And headed up to a dollar a Gal.. [Oil embargo] real fast, Everyone in the gas lines that would let a reporter stick a microphone in their face would say; ''If gas goes over a dollar a Gal. I'll sell my car'' And never drive again...:mad:

The reason I mention this is , ''IF'' the price of Gas happens to drop under a dollar a Gal..
Will those people start driving again, And crowd the roads,,????

Hmmm,,,
Good Point Rhino ThumbUp

P.s. the Gougers here went up to $1.919 yesterday. Maybe they too are aware of the issues you speak of and are trying to save the local population from Carmageddon...

Can you imagine the Carnage and Mayhem caused by hundreds of blue-hairs wearing Leisure Suits and jamming Zeppelin and Cream on 8 tracks driving 1972 Plymouth Fury III Land-Barges like Drivers Ed kids all over the place :AGGHH:
Better call the Governor and mobilize the National Guard...

Saw 1.83 at one station in south jersey. I hope this will at last through my "working season". Be a nice break for a change.

Starting to see some $1.899 (cash) prices in Jersey.

Got fooled today, though when I went by a place that was $1.939 last Fri, all of a sudden was back to $1.999 today... Don't know what that was about.

I filled up my truck for $1.99 for regular on Friday morning. That afternoon my wife filled up at the same station for $2.10. Today it's still $2.10. Premium is $2.40. For gas prices, I'm glad I live where I live. We usually have pretty decent prices compared to the rest of the country. I know we are always below the national average. Don't have a clue why it's like that. I suppose transportation and things like that play a part in the disparity between areas of the country. I'm rural and where I live it's always lower than city prices too.

$2.02 here today at Wallyworld:clapping: isn't it something when you start thinking thing are looking up just because gas is getting around the $2.00 mark?

I filled the motorhome 87 gallons for $1.80 a gallon in Festus, Missouri.
That is $156.60, a few months ago it would have cost me $214.02 @ $2.46 a gallon. :D

NH Gas

WOW, and I thought we had cheap gas @ $2.17 a gallon.
Hasn't gone below $2.00 yet, hopping it does, but I don't think we will make it.
