You are all lucky - $2.99 for regular - price has not started to climb yet, they say

increase will probably start upward tomorrow (Holiday ?).

Expect gas price increases due to hurricane Harley. Platforms in the gulf were shut down, which decreases production. But more importantly, the refineries on the gulf coast had to shut down. This means that there ends up being oil waiting to be refined, even with the reduction in production. As a result, the price per barrel of oil decreases because they can't refine it all and the price for gas goes up because of the temporary deficit in refining capacity.

Almost hate to say it $2.09 here in San Antonio,Tx. Filled up today! Was $1.99 last week. This is for Regular!

I paid $2.39 today. Two stations across the street were at $2.45. I'm sure we will have another increase tomorrow. I can still remember the gas price increase after Katrina, prices went up everyday. I was commuting just under. hundred miles a day with my 6 cyl. F150 at the time. When it cost me $1800 a day to commute I bought a Toyota Camry and reduced my cost to $11.00 a day. I hope the price of gas doesn't increase as badly as it did in 2005. It took years for gas prices to be in the low $2.00 bracket. Luckily I'm retired and I no longer have to commute.

On Monday, the price jumped from $2.17 for regular to $2.49 per gallon!

There is a refinery right here in our town. They love to gouge us.

My neighbor told me that he went to 3 gas stations today that were all out of gas. I do remember yesterday when I filled my car that one side of the station was blocked off, but I didn't think too much about it nor do I remember the cost per gallon.

It's started...... Today a few stations have raised to $2.70 / $2.75.

( Thursday )

$2.70 here if you can find any. Damn news media created an artificial panic by reporting stations being out of fuel. Now just about every station has been drained dry. There's plenty of gas, but the delivery trucks just can't keep up. Hear more tanker trucks are coming into the area Saturday to try and ease the panic buying. Just home from the Wing Ding. People are leaving early from the event in an effort to get home - if they can find gas.

Here we go.:gah:

From $2.30 per gallon to $2.50 per gallon in less than 24 hours in Maggie Valley ,NC.:xszpv:

Yesterday I filled up in Brenham, Texas for $2.19 a gallon for regular. But, regular was all they had. 89 octane only, no 91 or 93 octane available at the Shell station I stopped at. My daughter lives in Pfluggerville, Texas and she waited in a line of over 25 cars to buy gas and my son-in-law was in San Antonio saw several gas stations that were out of gas. One of my Granddaughters goes to college in San Angelo and she said yesterday there were only three gas stations in town that had gas. This is going to get ugly.

Ave about $2.49/gal regular + or - in west central Indyanner

Heard on news that the one refinery in TX could be back online next week. Gouge 'em while you can. :gah:

Up to 2.11 for reg yesterday. Not as bad as the rest of the country. When I fill up the trike today with premium I am sure it will be near 3.00. Jim

Got gas for the Trike yesterday evening 3:08 for 93....You need it you pay it....

Could be worster wasn't that long ago it was close to 4$....

Had seen $2.25 until day before yesterday when it went to $2.59 for regular. Also heard on the news there was no damage to any refineries in Texas which is good news. Now it just a matter of how long it takes for the flooding to go down and to repair the infrastructure so the refineries can start back up. Most of the stills are fairly easy to start back up except the cat crackers. They take a little finesse. Once they get their catalyst circulating then they can start the oil injection and it's off to the races!

And then the prices will go down as quickly as they went up......;););)
