I just bought a 2003 Harley Ultra. I'm not sure if I want to put a full trike or a out rigger kit on it. I also have a 2001 Goldwing with a Tow-Pac kit on it. I really like the Tow-Pac but I would like to get rid of that center drive wheel. Just don't know. Tow-Pac, Richland, Voyager, Trigg. ???

alot depends on how much you plan on riding this project. You know from experience how the outrigger setups ride. Maybe go to a HD demo and ride a TRI or Freewheeler to get a feel for the straight axle setup. Keep in mind most HD dealers over inflate the tires and make the ride harder then it is with what us users say the correct tire pressure should be. See if you can locate a HD conversion with an independent suspension setup on it to test ride. Then compare and make a decision. There are so many factors that it's hard to say go with one thing. Good Luck

I actually owned a 2011 Tri-Glide. Didn't care for it. Harsh ride, hard steering. I've been reading a lot of the comments on the out rigger units and brands. Each has their likes and dislikes. I'm not a fan of the inner wheel coming off the ground in a turn. My tow-pac doesn't seem to do that. (Goldwing) It has a independent torsion type of suspension as does the Trigg unit. I think that is the difference between the others. I can buy a straight axle unit for the same price of a out rig unit. So that's the indecision I am at.
