Front Tire/Rim removal

About ready to take the front Tire/Rim off to have it Powder Coated to match the back rims. I know I have to remove and replace the bearings. But my question is regarding the brakes. No ABS {Linked system} I can just slide the entire unit off the rotors and then slide them back on.....Right? Done this many times on my older non-ABS or non-Linked brake system rigs.....but.........

Wake up! lol....I'm about ready to put the front wheel back together.....It looks like HD used the White Thread sealer? I've used blue for all of this before. Curious if I've been using the wrong stuff all these years?
