front nose bra

I am thinking of buying and installing a front nose bra on my 2005 GL1800. On the page I was viewing it on it read,,, NOT RECOMENDED FOR BIKE WITH SIDE FARING WIND DEFLECTORS ON IT. Anyone know why? Anyone installed one with the air deflectors on their bike. Thanks for any feed-back.

i hav had a bra on my '03 since new and also the deflectors with no problems.i also take bra off once a year and wax underneath it.it gets a lot of bugs under it but has not scratched the paint.but it is time for a new one because the wing insignia is getting faded or worn.i love mine..Butch

To go along with protecting the front has anyone come up with protection on the running boards behind the front tire?

I'm taking my running boards off and having them sprayed with a rubber bed liner. LineX. They can match the color of my trike Hot Rod Yellow and will stop the rock chips and paint scratches. They tell me they can match any color as long as they have the paint code. :Shrug:

Well after leaving my floorboards at the Line-X place to have them sprayed with the bed liner in the same color as my Trike Hot Rod Pearl Yellow Y-130P They called and said they can't do it in the Honda Color. It's, I guess, a three color process with the pearl and it won't be the same color as the Bikes. Oh well I guess I'll think of something else? Put it all back together and ready to ride now. Also finally got my Gerbings heated gear. Life is Good
