I was told by the owner of an independent shop that he is qualified to work on Harleys so I did take my Freewheeler to his shop to have the brake light switch replaced one Saturday because the local dealer was just too busy and I had big plans for Sunday. They had the part on hand so it worked out.
He recently told me that I should have my forks serviced every 28K to 30K. According to the ower's manual: Disassemble, inspect, rebuild forks and replace fork oil every 50,000 miles.
There is nothing else on Table 31. Regular Service Intervals: 2015 Trike Models on the "Front Forks" line.
I need to know if I am missing something so I don't worry about my forks. He told me it is not part of any K service, it's only upon request. This is not my first Harley and I do not remember any fork work except the optional chrome forks I had put on my last Road King.
