Does anybody know of a front fender flap? Seems to me like a flap on the front fender would maybe keep some of the rocks from hitting the rear fender.
Anybody have any ideas?

I bought one from this person, HARLEY MUD FLAPS you can see it in this picture.

I see Capitan Itch also sells them Mud Flaps, his leather goods are top notch. I have several regular belts and gun belts from him, he's the only place I buy my belts.
I was looking for a way to stop mud from covering/blocking the oil cooler [11 T/G]
I ride a lot on a dirt/mud road, And the cooler gets covered something awful from the front tire . I think those flaps just might work. ThumbUp
I know the feeling, this is my cooler from a little detour while I was in SD before I had a mud flap. My dad and I both immediately bought mud flaps and installed them once we got home.

What is a guardian bell? Do I need one?
Yep, that's what mine mine looks after a ride in the mud.
As a side note, looks like your guardian bell is starting to rub though the oil line.
It was, I relocated it to my new GL1800. The person who owns the trike now needs to find their own.
Hey Mike & Mike.....which one did you put on the TG...went to couple web sites mention above...thought most looked kind of funky....fringe/studs/bling/emblems/etc. and way overpriced!

Barb...next time I see you, you need to look at mine. Very simple and functional.
Hi Barbara,
Ya need to look at one on the bike. It has a completely different look. Be sure to get one that has enough length to be effective to block things from the cooler while moving in the wind. Some of the sellers will custom make one of your design also. So communicate with them & make your own changes.
If ya just want cheap there are some on EBay for about $12...........

Hmmm, didn't know you put on on Trent....will have to take a look-see...are you doing Cabin Fever Ride Saturday?
Dunno...I got asked to ride sweep last Sat, as you know,,and that was not fun...being at the tail end of 150 bikes gets you to the destination 30 minutes later than the lead pack...dont wanna do that again...will let you know though, or see you there...I ordered a simple rubber flap from someone here on Trike Talk,,,cant remember who...it was $25.00.. he shipped it to me and when it got here, I mailed him a check with that amount plus shipping. Then I went to the dealer and picked up a chrome {of course!} fender thingy...screwed it onto that, then screwed on the fender thingy. very easy..looks and works good...will try and find the receipt, unless someone else on here knows who I am talking about.
I think his screen name on this site is helipilot or something like that, but someone else may know for sure.
Well, will have to take a look....$12? I like that

I just put on a Drag Specialties DS-393702 (Rubber) front mud flap. (Almost $12 with tax - HD Dealer ordered it for me).
I removed the aluminum fender skirt, marked it, drilled 3 each 3/16" holes and installed the flap using 10-32 nylocks in place of the nuts that came with it (making sure to not loose it). I think it looks great and has some flexibility to it just in case. My chrome pump cover was taking a beating. This should keep things much cleaner.
