hi everyone did not know if you could help me i have 2,600 miles 2008 stallion the front brakes all ways grinding noise i had the front bearing go out with 1000 miles they sent me new ones i replace the front pads all ways makeing that noise did thay change anything i think the pads are to hard i was going to call them but i wanted to ask you guys thank you any help will be good kippyg:)

Since you have a 2008 and only that amount of miles on it I would either take it back to the selling dealer or if you can stand the noise ride that sucker all the way back to Troup, TX and say you have a problem...could they fix it?

Seriously (I was kidding about riding/driving to TX since you live in MA) there should be dealer close by (I would hope) and see if they can deal with TMS get the parts shipped and have them installed. I do not have a Stallion...yet, but from what I have read on the forum this last month and a half, it appears to me that TMS will bend over backwards to get you fixed up and make/keep you a satisfied customer. Not sure if a Ford dealership would do the work (figure they would probably work the engine / drivetrain componets) but I would call TMS and see what they recommend, they usually walk the dealership through what needs to be done and it still is no cost to you.

Good luck to you,

Dennis

kippyg, We have had 2 Stallions and both have had noisy brake pad. Had 13k on the first one anf 7k on this one. The pads are wearing great they are just noisy. Its the compound of the pad material. I don't think they are to hard because the wear is great.

When you replaced your front pads where did you get them? If not from TBMS then what were they off of?

on one of my trips to TBMS I ask them what kind of brake pads?

there answer is

front -- Wangner ZX606 - - ST06-BR00-0180

rear -- 2006 Ford 500 - - - Ford # 7F9Z-2200-A

you might want to check with TBMS on the rear by giving them the last 3#'s of your VIN, different VIN's may have different types of rear brakes.

By the way after this past 2 weeks riding in the mountains has really set the pads up (used hard and heated up). They are far less noisy than before. Metallic pads are noisy by nature
