Free Wheeler or TriGlide for passenger comfort

I bought one for my FW and the wife loves it. She says it is much more comfortable than the HD passenger backrest and gives her more support in the curves.

Before I plunked down the big cash for the TG I bought a VTX with a champion conversion. Had it for a couple of months to be sure I could live with the change. Tourrest.com. I've mine for 14 months/30,000 miles. $200 shipped. My wife and Grand Daughters say it's more comfy than the 2 Tri's we had.

I Believe it fits all HD Sissy Bars. I can ship it to you and if it doesn't fit send it back. Don't pay me until ya get it....it's in nice shape.

I had a custom dual saddle built for me and the wife and extended the time spent on the trike. A good fitting trike can't be beat no matter what the choice. Best of luck on your choice.

Freewheeler very comfy over all two up. Best comparison I would say is Freewheeler is very much like a Road King for two up or single rider rideing. It's a back rest windshield, floorboards, ok storage, decent seat ( Sundowner seat) no radio type ride.. Lighter more sporty. My wife says the comfort level is great on the Freewheeler. I find it as comfy or would say more comfy than all the other Harley's that I have owned. Your mileage may varie.

If your an Ultra guy and like a little more passenger amenities. Such as even a bigger seat for passenger, stereo fairing, navigation, arm rest for passenger, more storage, communication intercom pre wired, floorboards and fairing. Then the the Tri Glide would be more the ticket.

Freewheeler sporty, comfy less cost.
Tri Glide all the touring and storage amenities. Some would say hands down more over all comfort. More bulky and cost a bit more.

Agreed - Have it shipped to the location of your choosing and enjoy the scenery

I agree - We have used the Trailer twice. Trailered out to Denver, dropped the trailer at a HD dealers, then Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and then back to Denver. Still put over 4K on the trip and wife was a trooper. But if I had added another 2K to that trip, not so sure. Plus Chicago to Denver is pretty much highway. Did the same thing for an East Coast trip....Allows us to take a longer Ride with less expense.

I have a high powered, demanding job and when I get time off - it makes sense to ship and ride or rent. That maximizes time at your destination. We have a local company that offers turnkey trips with expert tour operators. This takes it to the next level, because you can cover thousands of miles and pull in all the highlights with the luxury of an experienced tour guide. Other times, I just put it in the wind.

Yupp...that LOL unless Im getting some coffee or taking a bladder stress relief break. More and more as I get older I am afraid .
Free's are not bar hoppers. Sorry folks but they are one of the rushmore models and though they are smaller in storage and passenger room then a tri-glide they are made to tour. Hence being a " touring model trike " . I have ridden mine 650 miles in one day easily. Could have done a couple hundred more had I not run out of daylight. I took enough gear for a week and it fit in my trunk .
So no offense but unless you have taken one on a 3000 mile trip you might think its made to be a bar hopper . Not so. Its like the dyna is for the two wheeled set . Most fun I ever had touring was on the the dyna. The free is a great all around trike. Just my 2 cents. Your mileage may vary.

BTW this post might have been a bit off subject . I read earlier on about a page back or so; Bill G. put up a great comparison of the two trikes. I think he nailed it. Screwball would also know. He owns a free and his wife a tri-glide.
