Let me try asking this question another way?

When you guy's speak of "Vtunning", what are you talking about?

Is this something that is done with TTS?

Do you, (me) need a laptop computer?

Do I still need to dyno the Trike afterwards?

Can I buy just one for both bikes?

Maybe I'll see the light.........

I hate to read too much into it, but if it's better in the long run, I'm game on.

Thank's.

V-Tune is what is done with the TTS, the SEPST has what they call Smart Tune. The SEPST can be set up to smart tune without a lap top and soon the TTS will be able to do the same, IMO I'd rather still tote the lap top around. When I V-Tune I mount a remote 7" monitor on the bars so I can work at hitting all the cells without a whole lot of guess work.

Can you get a better tune with the TTS vs SEPST, IMO yes if the person doing the tuning knows how to use all the features the TTS brings to the table. Is it worth chucking the SEPST in favor of the TTS, I'm not sure any gains are worth the extra cost, maybe someone else will chime in with different feelings. You already have time and $$ invested in dyno tunes and the SEPST so I'm not sure if it would be worth starting over.

:Agree:

Also would like to add that if you dont live close enough to a competent dyno operator who knows what they are doing or you would rather learn the system to understand how it works rather then pay to have it done for you the TTS is the best program to use.

Im in the situation as I just stated above, plus I wanted to learn how this works so I have a better understanding of the system and how it works.

Yes. It is called a TTS Dual Tuner. One VCI Dongle (box) can be programed to use on two separate bikes. It's generally about 2/3 the cost of two VCI's.

If you already own a TTS and get another bike you send your TTS back and for 200 bucks they will make it a dual tuner.

If you have an original SERT you can send it back to TTS and for 100 bucks they will upgrade you to a TTS.

VTune and SmartTune are trade names of the software used by the TTS or the SEPro tuner.

I've tuned with both many times. Hands down the TTS blows SEPro away.

Your bike has a ECM that controls all the functions of the operations of the bike. If you had a blank and unused ECM the TTS can be used to flash the software to the ECM and you can ride. Can't do that with the SEPro or Power Vision.

SEPro and PV tuners take your stock calibration, modifies it and puts it back into the ECM. There are over 200 other internal switches in the ECM software that aren't manipulated by the SEPro or PV that can make the difference in how the bike is tuned and how well it runs.

So, do you want a tuner that only does half the job or one that covers all the digital angles while having the easiest operator software interface?

My opinion 101

:D:D

I wish, at the rally, that TTS would be there, or, for those of us with no laptop, could do the setup for us...just wishing!

The TTS software can Also be used with a windows based tablet..Same as a laptop..

Thats the direction I would likely take if my tuning lap top would ever take a crap. I keep a separate lap top just for tuning and uploads to bikes, I keep it stable and clean by not loading anything except tuning software on it.

I would also suggest at least a dual processor chipset in which ever you use, either laptop or tablet.

I have a single processor laptop and its a little slow loading the MT files after they have been saved.... Wiz had to get a rootbeer waiting on mine.....

I always step the processor size and speed up on any Windoze machine I buy, I don't like slow computers.

There was a used Trike/$wheeler Dyno for sale in Indiana Auto Trader last week. I believe it was going for around $12,500. I don't recall the new price but I it was like 1/2 price.

Hey George, how did the 2 up ride go the other day?

Well,... we didn't go as far as planned for breakfast. Stopped in Edinboro instead of Corry. Watchin the clouds ya know. 70 miles for toast!!

I put 36 psi in front, 26 in rear and 25 in the shocks. Very smooth ride with 2 up. She loved it!!

The 120R is very good too, but with 2-up I don't horse around at all. Infact it was all Rt. 6 with no freeway. About 2500rpm., in 6th. About 2800rpm., in 5th
at 55mph. Never above 60mph. I like 5th better at this speed. I just feel like I'm luggin it at 2500 in 6th. The power even 2 up is there, and it's all good!

I do wish I had a paved drive back to the shop like someone else I know.(Oldmsocko). The yard is a little rough so I have her get on up front on the concrete. Maybe blacktop back there someday?

Just got back from Battlecreek, Mich. alone today. What a sweet freeway motor the 120R is in a Trike!! 75mph., at 3000rpm., with super no down shifting roll on. If I do down shift to 5th. (had to try it), you best be holdin on. Love the set up!!

Now for the radio head set dohinky thing, not so good.

Great solo trip. Spent two nites at a Casino with a Vietnam Brother.

Now I need info for a better radio/headset combo or I ain't gonna use it...

Later, eighty80.

Sounds like you have a pretty good combination, I love riding RT6 and have stopped at the dinner in Cory on the way to Warren many times. I'm not sure what you'll be able to do about head sets. Last year I moved to a modular helmet with a J&M head set, worked pretty good but still had some issues. Going down the road at normal speeds I could hear things at a normal level great, start pulling some big hills and the noise from the air cleaner would just flat kill me. I was getting to the point of putting the stock air cleaner back on just to ditch the racket.
