So have you put a floorboard relocation kit on and was it 1", 1 1/4 or I have even heard of 1 1/2 inch although I havent seen one for the trikes .
Noticed my boot heel is melting .
I am also wondering whats popular.

I did the 1” DK extension kit. Helped a good bit but combined highway pegs helped more. I can put my heel on the floor board and toe on the highway peg.

Well I have pegs on mine also but I still got the boot heel . When I use the highway pegs I am fully stretched out with my feet on them . Cant do both . Its comfortable. I am engineering something here .
Keeps my mind working and saves me money ;)

@N8DC ,
DK Customs makes a 1” floorboard relocation kit that works perfect.

Link:

Amazon also has kits too, but it’s a roll of the dice with quality (powder coating & incorrect hardware).

So you’ve got choices.
(The consensus here will definitely be: DK Customs as they simply work perfect!)

After cleaning the boot marks off the pipes every week, (that's a pain), we put the DK extenders on and added this heel guard from HD

Being as cheap as I am I googled these and found copies for like 15.00 on Amazon.
Looks like a great idea but of course H/D prices are up there .
I may have to go with a set from someone.
I have 2 options right now for the relocation 1 inch and 1 1/4.
I will have something going by the weekend .

14TG said it well.

Initially, I was going to make my own spacers with my lathe, but two of them are odd shaped.

I went the Amazon route thinking I would save a few dollars. The spacers were fine but the hardware was junk even though the pictures showed differently.

I wanted quality stainless socket head bolts with small OD thick washers and after driving to several hardware stores, nobody had the correct length.

Finally went to my custom bolt supplier and bought longer ones and cut them to length and drilled out some smaller washers. Turned out fine, but what’s the saying…spend a dollar to save a dime?

Oh yeah, 1” for me.

lol!
Exactly….
Just like driving 10 miles out of the way to go to the gas station that is .02 cheaper, but wasted more fuel, more time & more miles just to “feel accomplished”.

It’s an awesome feeling doing things yourself especially with a great outcome… but it’s very wise to sit back and evaluate first, so the game plan makes sense before wasting more time & money and end up with just mediocre results.
(Confession: Yea, I’ve been there before, lol!… but lessons have been learned!).

I get all that but I do have a plan.
I used to have a friend that lived up the street from me who would drive to the other side of town to save .02 on gas.
Made me laugh.
Thats all I am going to say .
:)
Dave .
