Flat tire preparation

I carry a cheap plugging kit and a compressor that plugs into a cigarette plug to air the tire up then proceed from there. We awoke one morning with a flat rear tire on a 2 wheeler, we plugged it and put in some of that green slime (which I will never use again) and finished the trip of about 5 more days. Replaced it after we got home. For a rear tire on the trike I would probably get it repaired somewhere and forget it, as for the front tire I would play it by ear and decide as I go depending on the severity.
