Old Glory flies proudly at my house every day and is illuminated at night.
The Texas state flag flies directly underneath Old Glory.
I placed the Texas flag so as to conform with traditional and proper protocol and not shock the neighbors...but I would personally prefer to fly it on its own pole at the same height as Old Glory to represent the independent Republic of Texas. This style of display is not uncommon in Texas.
I live in an old people's gated community. We have Lion's Club members who place the American Flag at prepared places through our community. We are proudly awash in red, white, and blue...... Jim
