Today was the first time that I rode a trike. I test rode an 2018 Tri-Glide. I was not sure what to expect after reading on facebook and other places about how they ride and how hard it is to turn these big bikes. I liked it very much. Smooth ride. The first few turns I made was very different and I was not sure if it was going to turn. After a few miles it all got much better but will need more time ridding to get used to it. I may need to wait until spring because of financing. I do see why everyone likes them.

:welcome: to the Trike Talk Family.

Glad to hear of your wonderful first time experience.ThumbUp

Welcome aboard Jerry. Just wait until you have several hundred miles on one. You will really wonder what took you so long to switch.

Hey Fred, it is funny how we seem to go backwards with age:p

It is all good I have earned every ache and pain in these old bones. Would not want to do it over though most people now have lost all concept of right and wrong. There seems no need for respect and honesty kinda sad. Ride safe Fred

Welcome to the forum from Ohio. After a few upgrades they get even BETTER. Got ours July of 16 & now over 28,000 miles. :clapping::D

Trikes are a new adventure .........

Welcome aboard.

It took me about 6 months before I decided to tackle the Dragon. What a rush. Been doing it every year coming back from Rolling Thunder. Unfortunately I didn't make it this year. I was riding a little faster then my guardian angel just south of Then Dragon in NC and totaled the TG. In therapy now waiting to get on my new TG in November.....hopefully.

Remember the 2 cardinal rules 1. keep your feet up and 2. park farther away from the gas pumps. :D :D

And don't pay any attention to the 2 wheelers - they don't know how much fun a trike really is.

Welcome from eastern NC. Wife and I made the same 'mistake' test riding a triglide. It followed us home shortly after. It does take some getting used to but the more you ride, the more comfortable you get. By the way, mama loves that big ole comfortable seat. Never could get the two wheel as comfortable as the triglide. Just take it easy at first. You will love the trike, Richard.

Welcome to trike talk there is a lot of knowledge within these walls. It took me about 2000 miles to get really comfy on the Tri Glide,as others have said take your time and get used to it then ride the wheels off of it.

Got mine in the spring of this year, love it, traded in a 16 ultra limited, wished I would have done it sooner, you won’t be sorry. Welcome to the forum!!:clapping:

Let's talk about seats...

DSC00490.JPG

Old Shiney will soon be 10 yrs. old and my seat is like it was new on the outside but not so much on the inside. Maybe my old age but lately the seat seems to have ridges on both side just where it widens out for my butt, more than an hour running my legs want to start aching and cramping. This may be a Medical issue but I don't think so discussed it with my Doctor circulation seemed normal. So... went to Harley shop today and inquired about a new seat, a young lady behind service counter said no problem what are you looking for? Well I described my problem and we discussed options of seats available at the dealership. I was given a Sundowner to try brand new no deposit no signature no nothing natta if you don't like it bring it back. Brought it home installed it rode it... no good bride not comfortable nope not for us. Any suggestions
