It was a great day for a short ride. Seven of us met up at Jim's One Stop in BA and headed over to Western Hills Lodge to get one of our check points for the "PASSPORT OKLAHOMA 2013" Tour.

We had very good lunch at the lodge then headed back via Ok hwy 80 that runs a long Fort Gibson Lake. Yes we did make an ice cream stop!

Now watch as I chase 2 hogs and 2 spiders through the twisties.
What you all call twisties we here call straight always and sweepers. Beautiful ride. Loved it , when at this time of the year that is as close as it gets to a ride.
Got a new bike cam will post video of a ride later ,,,much later

Those are twisties , well I may not call them that but looks like you all had fun and did get to ride , that's better than I have done in 2013 but i'll get there some day ?

Looks like you guys had a great ride, I can't wait to get back out on the road myself just needs to warm up some. Hopefully in the next few week I'll get some riding time in.

Thanks for sharing the video. Nothing like a little arm chair riding here in winter wonder land. :Coffee:
I was really supprised not to see snow there thou. I would have thought there'd be at least some on the ground. I know there's no complaints on your part thou.

BTW: What kind of camera did you use?

I just got this one.. I have not done much with it yet. So far looks pretty good. Takes quite a while to recharge. My only fault with it so far . I do not know what Phill is using . Looks like his co rider is shooting with a hand held or cell phone
Do us Aussies count here? we ride for thousands of kilometers at a time when something good is on. Grab a map of Australia and look at the following places. Mackay (central coast of Queensland) Townsville ( north coast Queensland) Mt.Isa (N/West Queensland) Alice Springs (central Australia). That was my last trip a couple of years ago with the wife and about 99 other trikes from all around Oz, approx. 3000k's (approx. 1865miles) each way. this ride is called Trike Fest Australia and happens every two years or so. The next one is to Tasmania and again trikers will travel from all parts of Oz and meet up at a designated town there. By the way this is an open ride so feel free to tag along.

Unless you are looking at a map of Australia it will be a bit hard to comprehend the vast distances down here.

I can post pictures of outback Australia from the Alice Springs trip if anyone is interested and if I can work out how to do it.

Thanks Phil. I hope you make that ride again in the spring. I imagine the scenery will look a lot better green. I use a GoPro 2HD. Just updated the firmware and put the GoPro app on my Galaxy S3. Controls the camera and has a preview screen so you can see what the camera sees. Now I need a handlebar mount for the phone.

Of course Aussies count. I am looking forward to video of your rides through Oz. Or stills.

Hey Phill, thanks for the great videos, I agree, great to do some lazy boy ridden, watchin your pics. Questions, where and how did you mount your cam and do you use trike power to run it or strictly batteries? On battery power how long do they last?
What model of Hero Gopro do you have? Any problems/concerns?
Would love to hear your stories, but know we all have to take care of our honeys and their do lists. LOL :wave4::wave4:
