fans run more on 2017s?

OK, so I am really liking the move I made from my '14 TG to the new '17. One thing I have noticed... the cooling system fans on the '17 come on a LOT more than than the ones on my '14. Even the dealer service department says they have been hearing about this, but no official word from the MOCO so far.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes the fans on my 17 runs a lot more than my 16 did.

That's the same as my 17 compared to the 14 I had before.

Mentioned that to the service manager during my visits to them. He says there is a different method and location of the sensors and it causes the fans to run more. No problem with the bike. They all do it....famous last words

Harley must have these two special phrases wrote in to their training program
1. we have not had that problem with any other bike

2. No problem with the bike its normal

This is going to be a god thing, tho IMO my 17 does not seem to run hot enough YET to make the oil cooler fan run that much
