Has anyone ever zip tied a small animated figure to the trunk rack or somewhere on their trike looking back? I did it when I was on 2 wheels mostly on a dare but when cages with little kids would go by they would point at it and wave. I continued trying to keep it seasonally in mind. I've had the Grinch, a bull dog and lastly before triking a minion. Somebody wanted the bulldog more than I did and took it. I'm sure when folks see an old guy, young at heart get on a trike, think he's a little old for that. Who cares, I do it for the kids.

image.jpgI've got one behind that count? I have no children and have been accused of not liking them. Not true. Its the parents that bother me. I've come out plenty of times to kids on in or around my bikes. Doesn't bother me at all. Of course the parents shouldn't let it get that far but you know how that goes. I never reprimand the kids to them its fun and I won't change that. Not good for a tough guy image though!

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. I mostly have them wave from cages but once and a while in parking lots or while getting gas. I too don't like parent's letting their kids climb on my bike when it was 2 wheels, never saw them but was told they did. If they would ask when I'm there I would put them on myself and if big enough a short ride in parking lot with parents permission.

Yep.. I have one on each antenna ....
Gummy type with one hand sticking out like he's waving... But not the Jersey wave' Those i do manually for special occasion's:p

On my 1500 back in '96 we (along with many other Wing owners) had a stuffed, long-eared dog on the luggage rack who was quite the conversation piece when cars went by, particularly the kids. Never had any problem with it but quit doing it for some reason. By the time I got the 1800 in 2011 that fad had faded away. (Almost a tongue twister there)

The only pet I carry now is alive and sitting pretty in the co-rider's seat telling me how to drive. :D

Yep. I used to strap "The Martian" from the Bugs Bunny cartoons back there on the luggage rack till someone stole him!!!

Had a Snoopy Flying Ace with the goggles, jacket and red scarf strapped on my sportster's rear fender rack. I had a solo seat on it, and Snoopy was my co-pilot...he too was hijacked :gah: never did replace him. I hope some little kid took him home and not some jack a** .Now the only time I do that is for a toy run with a stuffed animal, no attachments for this biker!

Had a rubber chicken stolen off my sportster back in '91. In a motel 6 parking lot. And here I thought a better class of people stayed there. Skeleton duct taped to front of trike last year stayed put.

Like they say.... If you want something to stay put.. Duct tape it.

I think it's great hearing what others have and are doing to make others smile. Some have been luckier than others. Also gives me new ideas to find a new back up rider.

Maybe? Oftimes we had Abby, our Pompoo back there in her purple bike carrier after 2001 but there were times before then that we had "Radar" back there, a small bear with leather jacket and goggles ....

.... and then there was that time ..........
