engine rebuild

Yes a custom classic the motor is out of beetle that my brother had that he didn't want cause the motor needed to be rebuilt and he didn't want to spend the money on it.

Actually I got it off ebay but been working on it for the last year redoing the frame alot of messed up welds, new floor board cause I didn't like the T bar. Got a lot or more work to do but it's getting there.

Just now looked at your picture album. Looks like fun and lots of work.

Why did you go with the mesh floorboards? Seems like a dust and dirt sucker.
Or do you just like the look of it?

Have you goosed the engine at all?

The floor boards I got from were I work at for free and the frame is made from T post's. Didn't do anything to the motor except added a Dr J ignition system (I think that's what it's called) and electronic points. I just noticed last night that there is a 1/8 inch hole in one of the intakes from were they were welded from the factory and can't send them back cause they are 10 years old so I'm getting one of the guys in our exhibits department to tig weld it for me then I will need to grind the weld down and repaint it.:gah:

:Coffee:Shrug: I was looking at the way you built your floor boards out of mesh and the possible mounting of it on your trike?

It seems that the way your trike sits, a guy could get out the welder and build a ram air induction system attached under the floor boards ( possibly out of the same aluminum plate you used on the back) to ram air under the body at the front of the engine for extra cooling?
:D Just a thought?

Finally got the carbs done installed but I have missed placed 1 piece of linkage I know I put it were I wouldn't lose it. lol:gah:
