Has anybody attended this festival before if so is it worth the ride? My wife and I are riding up to Ellijay Ga for the Apple Festival Oct 8-9, and hoping to catch the leaves changing. Were arriving the Fri 7th and leaving Mon the 10th.

It is Arts and crafts. There are a lot more things to do while you are there than the apple festival. You can do the festival in a couple of hours. Go to Helen(1 hr ride) beautiful twisties, Dahlonega, Ellijay is very boring.

Thanks for the reply, My wife is big into craft shows so she will enjoy that, We went to Helen and Dahlonega about a year ago. So riding the area roads works for me.

Walt I have been up that way the last 4 years for the festival. My wife also likes to go to the Arts and Crafts. We have visited a couple of the orchards and purchased their Apple Fritters. East out of Elijah is a couple of places. Also up north in BlueRidge they also have a festival going on the same weekend. There is Mercers (sp?) Orchard north of town worth checking out.

The riding is just great. Several renowned rides that can be done in a day from Elijah. MJ and I stay at the Stafford Inn. Maybe we will cross paths.

Ted,
Thanks for the reply. I hope to see ya'll up there and maybe we can get in a ride and lunch. We will be at the Best Western Mountain View.
I will have to try some Apple Fritters and fresh cider.
