So now you guys/gals are going to tell me you don't like EGGPLANT ...I just made some for Honey. Trying to get her to eat something.

I don't know I always plant them too deep or too far apart. Most people get this big dark Purple thing . I just get rotten eggs.

Now you're talking! I haven't found it cooked any way I don't like it..But I would like to see one of those chickens it comes from. Those suckers must be huge!

Now we're talking, parmesian - dipped in egg and bread crumbs, baked instead of fried, layered with spaghetti sauce, mozzarella and parmesian cheese.
Much better than liver and onions, and the house smells better too!

I like it baked also, but don't discount the deep fried sometimes. Of course being from Oklahoma originally, I like just about everything fried.

I read a while back about a cafe in Texas who have a house specialty of bacon dipped in batter and cracker crumbs and deep fat fried. Started as sort of a snack, but had become so popular it had become a main course.

Boy, I can feel the old arteries getting hard just thinking about it. Didn't mean to hijack this thread, but as I'm always on a diet, I can't resist a thread about fried foods.
