Hello,
I'm a new member to this forum. I've been lurking some since I bought a new Tri Glide in October. I previously owned 3 Gold Wings and some other brand bikes. My very first ride was a Cushman Eagle scooter when I was 10 years old. The TG is my first Harley.

I'm considering buying a driver backrest made by Utopia.

Would appreciate comments by anyone who has installed a Utopia on a Tri Glide. If I buy the Utopia backrest, I plan to get the "Quick Out" option which permits easy removal of the backrest.

Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks,
Ed

Have one on our RSV, and it works well. Rode to Key West and Arkansas with it, and it really saved my back. There is a pitch adjustment bolt that can be a little tricky if bolt comes close to frame edge. I just adjusted to avoid that condition. Other than that, it works great!

Utopia Backrests work really well...I had one on a 600 Silver Wing Scooter once. Mitzie leaned back against the Back Pad on the GIVI Trunk and I could use the Utopia Back Rest......GREAT for Long, All Day Trips...sometimes 600+ miles comfortably...a little "aggravating" to install, but well worth the effort.....ThumbUp :10:

I own 2 bikes and 2 trikes, ride too long and too far not to have one on each bike. The first seat was hardest. Hardest part is cutting a perfectly good seat to install. Took it to my mechanic to do. He laughed and took great pleasure cutting my bike seat. I have had them installed on all the bikes. I still let the mechanic do the install. The Boss drives one of the trikes and she wouldn't be the driver if it wasn't for the back rest (bad back) and of course we all know IF Boss isn't happy and so on and on and on

Can't say enough good thing's about the Utopia Back Rest. It's a little Terrifying cutting into your seat (if heated pay attention to wires, don't want to cut any), I never take it off. Wife loves that it folds forward as she mounts and dismounts the trike. Best add on I ever added. Great craftsmanship, solid item, well forth the money...
