Dream job

Sales floor associate at the local Big Lots store, now that's a 'Dream Job' or a nightmare job :AGGHH:.
You'll never know how much fun I have until you have to clean up misplaced merchandise from the 20% off Friends and Family Sale which is 3 days. God I miss motorcycle repair and hope to return in the not too distant future. :pepper:

I ran a truck tire retread plant for 28 years. Hot hard nasty work but I loved it. If my back was up to it I would still be doing it. I always said if you enjoy your work you will get buy on the money you make but if you do not like your job they cannot print enough money to make you happy. Now I am disabled with a bad back and enjoying life but if my back would let me I would be at work today.

My dream job was workin in an oil refinery makin gasoline, jet A, heatin oil, asphalt, and other such stuff. Unfortunately some billionaire by the name of Boone Pickens that owned Mesa Petroleum just had to start buyin up a lot of our stock and, long story short, I wound up working for Chevron that eventually shut us down cuz they only wanted our "sweet" (low sulfur) crude reserves . Best 15 years of my life and camaraderie was almost as good as it was in 'Nam.

And with out the In-Comming......:D

My dream job was as a professional firefighter. WAS being the operative word... After three too many surgeries on my knee the workers comp. nurse decided she didn't want to spend any more money on me and put me out to pasture! The only drawback was I received about 60% of my projected pension. Even with SSI I'm still short by a bunch. I miss the adrenaline shot every time the alarm sounds and the feeling of doing something good for people no matter what their status in life was. The 24-7 "9th grade" shenanigans was also a great joy to me as well! I surely do miss it...

i would love to get paid to test ride motorcycles and trikes for motor co . Because today's products do no:)t last like they should

Products are much better than years past.... Remember the catch phrase of the 50's into the 90's....... Planned Obsolescence....? Most vehicles now days are almost maintenance free... Just add gas and ride....ThumbUp
