Have you tried changing cams, replacing lifters, adjusting pushrods, different oils and still have that annoying ticking?

Try the Rocker Lockers, they will eliminate the ticking from the rocker arm shaft.
(this is the most annoying of the valve train noise, and is particularly noticeable between 2000-3000 RPM)

Check out all the details, and see a Video on them, at this LINK

  • The rocker arm shafts have a notch in them that the bolt is supposed to butt up against, locking the rocker arm shafts in place. However, the bolt hole is too large, leaving a gap. This gap allows the shaft to rotate and hit the bolt causing a tick.

  • See the picture below of where the bolts have witness marks from the rocker shaft rotating and tapping the bolts. This is what makes the annoying ticking/tapping noise.

  • The Rocker Lockers eliminate the gap, locking the shaft from turning and striking the bolt, eliminating that annoying tick so many Twin Cam owners experience.

  • The Rocker Lockers also center the rocker plate so that it is always located in the same positon eliminating different wear patterns on the rocker arm/valve and a better alignment of the pushrod in the holes.

  • The Rocker Lockers are tapered so that they lock themselves in and wedge the bolt/shaft in place.

Let's hear your rocker locker review's :)

Kelsey

Hi Kelsey, I installed a set on my 120r crate motor and the difference is astounding. My good friend who is a Certified HD Master Tech of about 15 - 18 yrs used his iPhone to record the sound difference due to his amazement. He has installed a few sets on Customers Bikes where he works (HD Dealership) and promotes them all the time, especially when he has a customer who bitches about the ticking noise. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with the results achieved with my installation.

Thanks for sharing with us Roger! I am very fond of the rocker locker's myself. We have quiet a few dealers that promote the rocker locker's for us. That lets you know they are awesome if Harley promotes them. It is always good to quiet down noise in my book :)

Customer Review from our website on Rocker Lockers:

Review by W

"These things are incredible! Gaskets do their job and the rocker lockers quieted down the top end ticking so significantly that I can barely hear it at idle standing next to the bike. It used to be obnoxiously loud standing in front of or directly next to the bike (anywhere in front of the exhaust), but now the exhaust downs out all other noises on my 1200 XL, except the quiet sewing machine noise from the primary at high rpms."

Thanks W!

Rocker Lockers Rock! Quietly - Review by: Mohawk Matt

"My 05 twin cam rattled like bbs in a tin can! After a fairly simple and short install of Rocker Lockers I had less valve train noise than any Harley I've heard! Quote from my father "Are you sure its a Harley?" Recommending to everyone I talk to! Cant say enough. Great product that performs exactly as claimed. Dk Customs delivered fast at a great price! Not much to the kit but worth 10 times the price once you see/hear what it does! Thanks DC Customs, and thanks Rocker Lockers! !" (Posted on 4/23/2019)

Thank You, Matt!

Will these work on my wet head? With the E-series Mufflers ... the top end noise is what I hear most ... and no, I'm not trying to make it a Gold Wing ... LOL.

Ahh, just seeing this. Apologies for the delayed response.

Yes, the rocker arm support plates are the same on all twin cams.

Yea Gang these really work. I installed them on my 110 2013 Twin Cam and was amazed at the difference in the noise. Great instructions.

Was the install rough? How long did the install take? Inquiring minds want to know :D

One more question, once they are installed, does that mean the shaft can never be removed? Or, is there a way to get the Rocker Locker out again? Maybe a punch from the other side.

Alan I have moderate mechanical skills. I do most of my own maintenance. My usual road block is not having a correct special tool.

This job the hardest part is knowing how to make sure that the cylinder both valves are fully closed. Easy for me because I've done it many times, but for a newbe they would need to be careful. Removing the gas tank is straight forward. Removing valve covers is also straight forward. Pick a cylinder make sure the valves are fully closed and remove the rocker arms. The rear cylinder 2 of the rocker bolts will not come all the way out but disengage the threads so they come out with the rocker arm assembly. follow the instructions to press in the sleeves and then re-assemble. Follow the notes and you will have no problem. Took a couple of hours working at my pace (slow)

I think you can handle it.

I have a shop manual, both digital and 3 ring bound. I think this will be a good winter project ... LOL ... assuming I can do most of it sitting (with the new broken toe, standing is not that much fun :AGGHH: ... One step closer to making it a Gold Wing (at least sound like it) ... just kidding :D

You do have good quality inch pound and ft lb torque wrenches, if not get some now;)
