Good morning

On my trip to deadwood the digital numbers quit working. my volt and air pressure

only have 1 number. I know this happens when it gets wet and comes back when dried out.

has anyone had to change theirs out. I tried electric cleaner, no help

Thanx

The only time I had any problems with this is when they got wet from a downpour. When they dried off it would work fine. Did this start after they got wet or did they just stop working ? TBMS can help you if you want another if not in stock they can tell you who made it for them. It's not hard to remove but I'm sure you know that.

Hi Chuck,

Sorry I missed going to Deadwood this year.

I recently had an issue with my LED read out also. My air compressor readout was showing extreme high numbers. I contacted TMS and got instructions to try and track down the problem. I am going to cut and paste some of his instructions.

It sounds as though the air pressure transducer has a weak ground. High psi readings are one of the indicators of weak/poor ground. The transducer is the solenoid on the valve block for the compressor with a “thumb screw” securing the signal wire & should be grounded through the block. (This valve block is behind the back seat)

edited your picture to show which is the transducer. It is the center solenoid with the “thumb screws” at the bottom with a yellow label on the body. There should only be a green wire to one of the thumb screws. We do not use the other terminal for anything at all. If there is a wire other than the green signal wire, it would need to be removed from the solenoid. The secondary thumb screw point is not used by us. This solenoid is used by the company that manufactures it for other applications that use it which is why it is there. The main body of the transducer is what needs to be grounded, not the terminal on the end. You can touch the ground wire to the metal “body” of the unit and see if the air pressure reading re-sets. IF it does, this tells you it has lost or is losing ground through the mount.

If the transducer has sufficient ground, I would check continuity between the green wire @ the transducer and where the green wire goes into the digital readout on the dash.

If there is sufficient ground and you have continuity between the two ends of the green wire, it may be the processor inside the digital readout is going bad & creating the issue.

The digital readout is the same one that is used on our HD trike conversions & is readily available through any MT dealer. It’s $150 + shipping & the P/N is TMEL-0266.

Depending on the dealer, this is a part that they may also have in stock on their shelf. If they don’t have in stock & need to order it, we can drop ship directly to you also.

When I pulled out the display, I found that I had continuity between the two green wire ends. I put the display back in and the readout was back to normal. Guess it just needed to be "handled gently" a little bit. Hope you can find and solve your issue.

Hi Dean

all red stallions this year, I took the digital readout out actually fell out. the circuit board was broke off the glass readout plate.

I have a call into tbms to see if the new part comes complete with glass and then hopefully the whole thing justs snaps

in place together. had to leave the rally on Friday and did not hear what the totals were.

Chuck,

I stumbled across your post here. I don't recall seeing a message from you (could be that I'm slipping in my older age?). If I remember correctly, your Stallion is a 2008 fiberglass body correct? If you would please send me a picture of the back side of the housing the gauge fits into; it's been a while but if I'm not mistaken the mounting set up on those were different than the later models & we don't have one in our shop for me to look at myself. If you don't have it handy, my email is tech@motortrike.com

Hello

has anyone replaced their transducer for the air suspension system, I can get one from tbms but I was wondering if anyone has changed theirs. thanks
