Different twist on catfish's corn

I recently was over to a friend that was cooking corn on the grill with the husk still on it. We always soaked ours in a salt water for two hours before we cooked it. He soaks his corn in sugar water before he cooks it. It was delicious!
 
I'll bet if you take the salt water you normally soak in and add sugar to it you'd be on to something pretty tasty.
