Determining fluid levels in clutch & brake reservoirs

I have a 1999 goldwing 1500 with roadsmith conversion. Have had no indication of trouble but have been wondering how to determine fluid levels. The little round check points don't show (on mine)whether the fluid level is full or empty. Have thought about opening tops to check but wonder if anyone has suggestions. Thanks, Maury

Re: Determining fluid levels in clutch & brake reservoirs

Hi Maury, I would suggest that, if the fluid has not been changes in the past two years, have it changed and clean the indicator glass. The fluid used in the brakes and clutch is DOT 4 which will absorb water over time and cause havoc with your break system. The manufacturer recommends it to be changes every two years. Good Luck.
