Daytona bike week this year ?????

Was down to Maggie Valley this summer and rode the dragon had a great time.. The sky way was great we also went down to the Highlands great place also there is some very good riding down there in god's country !!!!

As we only live 40 miles south of Daytona, it's hard not to go up a couple of times to meet up with ole friends. Hate the way they jack up the prices for everyting though !!

Tom, what do you know about Cabbage Patch camp ground we have stayed up at Clarks in the past and it wasn't to bad but we were thinking about something a little closer.... Being as you are in the area I thought you might give us some input about it ??????

camping at the patch is in the middle of a lot of noise and party time !!!! Also facilites are crude to none!! Good to visit, but I would camp elsewhere. Other than the camp ground mentioned above, there is one on Nova road just off US 1 in Port Orange which I visited a couple of years ago that had nice facilities. It is also about centered to a lot of the area events to see. A little further north of Destination Daytona in Bunell also has a real nice camp ground--biker freindly on US 1.

I'd like to go. Does any one know of a site that would give the things going on around the center of events. I've seen some of the goings on on TV but I've gotten too old for most of that.

I think I'd rather go to Sturges and may give a good faith effort to get there for a few days. The riding around the Black Hills looks good.

Secondroy, If you are not into the rally vendors main street partying thing, then Sturges is a better choice if you need to choose. The riding in Sturges area is OUTSTANDING. Daytona is about the party. There is riding but not the same at all. We go to Sturges just for the riding.
