Celebrate those that answered the call and made the sacrifice against tyranny.

June 6 1944, when some good ole boys took a boat ride across the Channel.

A lot of good Yankees, Brits, Scots, Irish, Canucks, French, etc. etc. lost their lives starting the liberation Europe that day.

But a special remembrance to the brave Americans that answered the call.

A somber salute to them all!

Before my Father and Mother in-law passed, we made sure that our daughters heard the stories of what it was like during WWII and Grand-dad's Army service.

History needs to be passed on to succeeding generations.

Can anyone imagine landing on the beaches and charging into sustained machine gun fire???? I can't. Those men must have had nerves of steel and more guts than I can even think anyone can hold in one body. Your can't do enough to honor such courage.

War is Hell.

Call D-Day what you will.

Those soldiers had the overall determination, the guts, and the courage to overcome the fear of a frontal assault on those beaches that was suicidal. Their belief in the liberty and freedom of the way of life for them, their families, and country was far stronger than the prospect of death.

For those that perished, I cannot think of a more noble death than theirs. For those that survived, I have the utmost respect for what they achieved.

God Bless Them All.

God Bless all who have served in such conditions.
