CSC Trike to 4 way flat trailer plug

My CSC kit on my 07 Wing came with the CSC 6 plug rectangular plug. How do I convert that to the standard 4 way flat plug on my trailer? My knowledge of wiring is weak to begin with and this is got me stumped.

CSC wire tracer colors.....<br />

Brown - Running<br />
Yellow - Left turn<br />
Green - Right turn<br />
Red - Stop<br />
Black - 12 Volt<br />
White - Ground<br />

You may try someone like Tractor Supply or PEP Boys or Northern Tool for a 6 x 4 adapter / you'll need measurements of both.. possibility you may have to re-wire or maybe contact CSC and see if they offer an adapter. Most that I have had it was easier to rewire... FYI

My 2013 CSC Cobra XL kit also came with that 6 wire connector. O Reilly Auto parts and Auto Zone sells a converter to wire to a 4 wire flat. Really easy to install, I just cut off the rectangular plug and connected the wires with butt connectors that have heat shrink on them and zip tied the converter to Trike frame (its water proof so it can be mounted outside on the frame). Works great, the converter is used on vehicles that have separate turn signals from the brake lights and running lights. Follow the instructions, not all 6 wires are used with converter cap off unused wire.ThumbUp

</div>If you have access to pieces and parts, building a converter is pretty easy. Here is a simple combiner (that's what it really is) diagram.. What you are wanting to do is add the brake light function to the turn signal line. The rectifier diodes wired as I've drawn them will let that happen and block reverse feedback at the same time. If your trailer uses conventional lamp instead of LEDs you'll need to bump the diodes up to 3 amp rating.<br />

</div>I agree, they don't need to be different. The two above have the 6 way, but they are different than the CSC. The above have 2 rows of 3 and the CSC has 4 and 2. I found the kit at O'Reilly and will just have to cut off the plug I paid for with the trike kit. Live and learn I guess.

Hi oldcop,
I found it easier to call CSC and get the connector for my trailer than to get under the trike and do any wire splicing there.Because I had a new trike kit at the time,I don't remember if they charged me,if they did it wasn't much.
Just have to use what wires were necessary to operate lights on trailer.
I could not find any pre-made adapters that would work with the CSC specific trailer plugs.
Was easiest solution for me.

CSC does sell the mating trailer plug, inexpensive and easy to wire. Did this in about an hour total.
