Cruise control stopped working

Today we went on a lil ride and coming home I noticed that the cruise control stopped working. It turns on but I can't set it to a certain speed. The light comes on at the tach, but nothing happens when I try to set it by the throttle side on the handle bars. Any ideas on where to begin to look to fix it ?

I'm hesitant to ask - And I don't know what year bike you have.....but on my '15 the cruise is set on the clutch side......?

My 11 Tri... Was set in the brake

side...... My 17 its on the clutch​

side....

Yea, it's a 2010 TG and the cruise control is on the throttle side.

Try to read the error buffer. Probably there is a electrical problem in your bike and the system disables because of this cruise control. For example, I had a problem with the footbreak light switch, cc switches off, a little bit later I got the electrical warning light, 70 miles later I got the motor problem light ...

I have a '10 TG also. Been a couple years, but I vaguely recall same problem. Looked up error code and that told HD what was bad. Memory fading fast with too many problems over years and can't remember exactly what it was.

The '15 does set on the clutch side. His (like mine - 12) sets on the throttle side.
