Greetings, new to the the site and have a 2014 Triglide and just had my 30,000 mile maintenance. Have put about 500 miles on it already, but today the cruise control, and gear indication works intermittently, with it not working most of the time. Any ideas from anyone on a possible cause? Not sure what the 30,000 mile maintenance covered, but I'm wondering if there might be a pinched wire somewhere on the frame that is shorting out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome Dano. What you're experiencing is very common issue. You most likely have a bad left side switch pack control panel that needs to be replaced.

Some have also reported that opening the left side switchpack/clutch housing and spraying DeOxit contact cleaner spray may also help.

I used to have a 2014 Ultra - back then I heard about this issue - and decided to purchase the lighter switches.

I don't remember a Harley recall but do know that most folks purchased the lighted controls mainly because t was less expensive to buy two than to purchase the unlighted left.

When I got my 2021, one of the first things I did was replace my switch packs. Too bad my packs would not work on your bike - they are in the basement.

For your issue, spraying my help the matter. think I would simply replace them with the lighted switch packs.

I would suggest troubleshooting before replacing parts.
Check your codes, do the cruise control test that checks each component, try starting your trike in gear (with the clutch lever pulled in and brakes applied).
Even with an intermittent problem, something should show up. Changing parts randomly can get expensive. Good luck with it.
