cooling fans

Every so often when I shut the bike off, the cooling fans are on which is normal. Most of the time they are both on.

However, sometimes only the left side comes on.

When I do the test where the engine isn't running, switch in the start position, emergency switch off and roll the throttle to full, the left fan comes on first followed immediately by the right one. Works right every time every time.

Probably nothing to worry about but seems odd.

Anyone have any thoughts on the issue?

I noticed the same thing a couple weeks ago. Has only done it once that I know of.

Both fans are either on or off

Have you ever checked for a diagnostic code?

One of my fans comes on about 1 sec before the other one, can't remember which one though.

Possibly designed that way, so you don’t get a power draw of 2 fans coming on together :Shrug:

The left fan, the coolant temp sensor is located in the bottom of the LS radiator, the sensor gets a signal from the ECM to turn the fans on

My right cooling has been replaced once and now from time to time just the left comes. I just gave up and didnt bother with getting it looked at.
