Compensator Oiler

My husband has an FLH with a Screaming Eagle compensator. Yesterday he had an oil channel added (see photo) to increase oil to the sprocket to lessen the possibility of failure due to lack of oil. What I would like to know is whether or not my 2010 TG has something similar to this. I understand that the lift kit helps as far as getting more oil to the sprocket, but.....

your 2010 does not have that cup. And I also found that the new designed Compensator /oil cup redirected oil flow does nothing to oil the middle of the compensator area. How do I know I spent a lot of money to find out it doesnt work and starts fretting from day one. The needle bearing looked like sandpaper after 300 miles. Rusted internal parts etc.

Now I would do if your compensator is going bad to go with the new Designed Baker Compensator. Gets better oil to where its needed.

There was another company making a magnet/oil pan to direct the oil better over the stock compensator.

On the newer Harley the cup is now molded to the primary cover so no plastic cup is needed.

The lift kit really does not help oil the compensator any better. Its in an oil bath and gets sloshed around the primary area.

Yep that's the other one..Spoke to the owner Steve several times on compensators and the crappy compensator oiling system on the Harley.

2010 hd do not have upgraded compensators

i replaced mine 2 years ago.the newest one has has a splash catcher they epoxy in to catches the oil lets it drop back on the compensator..
i had mine replaced end of


2014. should check to see if they have a newer model.cost me $625.00 to have a dealer do it.

Yep,if ours ever fails,I'll be installing the Baker unit.
