A friend of mine is starting a new business venture. A new process allows you to chrome plate any material. ( even a hard boiled egg shell) The process involves a hard primer coat and a thin liquid metal spray, then a hard clear ( any color) even gold. So you can chrome plastic parts that you can't buy or re chrome parts u broke or scratched .

Question what do u think, is it a worth while business to get into?

He says he could plate my front ( Honda Goldwing) Rim for less than $200.00..

I would need to see what the finished product looked like too be sure, but it sounds like a great idea. I can think of a few things I would like to use it on.

I think my friend gave up the idea. Talked to dealers around here one dealer said there are 144 bikes in Repo. People can't afford the bike let alone the chrome. I still think there is a market .

Gas is cheaper than its been in ten years and Im ridin more than Ive ever ridden. So are my buddies. The only guys gettin their scoots repoed arent real riders anyway. Id give up a lot before Id give up my scoot.

That is what I told my friend. when I go to shows Expos or rallies I see a lot of people buying extras for their bikes. A lot of the bikes are the Harley guys that bought the bike to say I got a Harley ( My Brother in Law is one put 400 miles on it in 2 years. ) and it is in my Mc Mansion ( house over 6,000 SF and mortgage with a Vari. rate Mortgage that went up the ying Yang ) garage next to the other toys. I got my Paid for trike sitting in my paid for 2,500 SF house and I am buying more add ons this year. If this was the case then all the Chrome Worlds, Wingthings, Cruiserworks, Tulsa , and Motor Trike etc. would be going under too.
